…nearly 30 countries including the US, Israel and Canada have adopted or recognized it, as have many local governments and universities (especially in the UK, where the government is now threatening universities with funding cuts if they refuse to adopt it)… Who has not adopted it:

Kenneth Stern–the main drafter of the IHRA definition

Academics, Israel Prize laureates and lawyers,

Universities;

Civil liberties groups;

Facebook;

Jewish and Israeli organizations and figures,

Palestinians and Arabs...

Labour unions and Faculty Associations

Mainstream editorial boards and journalists,

Other civil society groups and figures…

It is a war on water, and it runs deep. For the last decade, Israel has been carrying out a systemic and willful campaign to deny Palestinians access to clean water. Though Israel's campaign to restrict water access has yet to make the news, rights organizations are pushing the Palestinian Authority to take the issue to court, so the matter could well make headlines in the coming months. Mark Mellman, president of the Israel lobby group Democratic Majority for Israel [connected to AIPAC] and a longtime Democratic Party insider, indicated that the Biden forces refused to set up a joint task force with Sanders on foreign policy/Israel this spring, even as they were willing to negotiate other policy differences, because the leadership won't budge on that question.
