A Georgia state legislator who has pushed the state law opposing boycotts of Israel [State Rep. Deborah Silcox] testified at a hearing that the Israeli consulate "asked me" to introduce an amendment to the law, and she did.  [She] appeared at the hearing in March with an Israeli consular officer seated at her side, and introduced him to the House committee...

Mark Mellman, president of the Israel lobby group Democratic Majority for Israel [connected to AIPAC] and a longtime Democratic Party insider, indicated that the Biden forces refused to set up a joint task force with Sanders on foreign policy/Israel this spring, even as they were willing to negotiate other policy differences, because the leadership won't budge on that question.
